SKYCITY’s Casino Surveillance Department is looking for a Casino Surveillance Operator to join their team in a full time capacity.

Reporting to the Surveillance Shift Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking, monitoring and analysis of Casino Gaming, cash handling, non-gaming areas and activities within the boundaries of SKYCITY. The investigation and interpretation of video data and maintaining a logical approach to dealing with issues is a must.

We are seeking a positive, friendly, inquisitive and lateral thinking person who has sound literacy, mathematical, computer and observation skills. Experience in a Casino / Gaming Surveillance role is an advantage, however not essential.

Responsibilities will include:

• Observation of casino activities including monitoring of staff and patrons;
• Using Closed Circuit Television to investigate incidents;
• Monitoring compliance with internal policies and procedures for all casino departments;
• Maintaining a Daily Log of activities;
• Compiling data and information to produce in-depth reports;
• Report equipment and system faults as required to the Technical Division.

This position is subject to the approval of a Casino Operatives Licence, which involves a criminal and financial history check with an associated cost of approximately $300.00.
