Shift:
Responsible for assisting Guests with transactions and for balancing various bank drawers within the Cage Department while maintaining accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
• Accurately balances assigned bank averaging $100,000.
• Responsible for balancing money received and disbursed.
• Follow Grand Casino Service techniques and initiatives to ensure positive guest service results.
• Pays out large jackpots.
• Pulls and counts mutilated money, preparing it to be returned to the bank.
• Performs check cashing service, debit and credit card transactions, and ATM transactions.
• Redeems coupons, coins, chips and tokens for coin and/or cash for Guests, in a courteous, timely manner.
• Redeems foreign currency, computing accurate exchange rates for the various currencies received.
• Redeems and validates EZ Pay tickets for Guests in a courteous, timely manner.
• Conducts operation of basic machinery, such as: jet sort, bill counter, and calculator.
• Conducts operation of approved cashier (check cashing) software, including: guest information and database, Title31, ATM’s and others.
• Assist with the successful on-going operation of ATM’s, Kiosks and other equipment by keeping them loaded withcash, monitoring them daily, maintaining an adequate supply of supplies and responding to service issues.
• Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, tribal, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as theCompany’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Brings disputes and unusual Guest activities to the attention of the Shift Manager.
• Maintains a working knowledge of facility, as well as special events on property, in order to advise Guests.
• Assists other Cashiers within the Cage area.
• Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.

Previous money handling experience preferred but not required.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• If required, must be able to pass company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
• Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority, and follow all relevant DGR’s.
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from Guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the businesscommunity.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to:
• Talk and hear;
• See and adjust focus to include close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision;
• Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;
• Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands;
• Lift, push, pull and/or move objects weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:
• A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
• A moderate-to-loud noise level (operations areas).
• Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
• Moving mechanical and/or electrical components.
• Motorized equipment and machinery.
• Chemical solutions such as cleaning and polishing compounds.
